Sarah Marie Mooney

Assistant Director Director Dramaturg Producer

(she/they) I am a director and dramaturg originally from the west of Scotland and now based in Edinburgh

In 2019, I began a part-time masters in Dramaturgy and Playwriting at the University of Glasgow and graduated with distinction in December 2021. I have a strong interest in inclusive theatre-making and my dissertation research explored creative access dramaturgy. I am on the board of Birds of Paradise, Scotland's disability-led theatre company and volunteer with Lung Ha Theatre Company.

Since graduating I have undertaken freelance directing, dramaturgy and assisting work with organisations including Framework Theatre, Playwrights' Studio Scotland the Pitlochry Festival Theatre. I also produce a scratch night called Play Full showcasing work created in collaboration between writers, directors and dramaturgs.
