I am an early - career movement director and director from Manchester looking to expand and diversify my experience through supporting bold and exciting theatre and looking to cultivate a portfolio with focus on multidisciplinary projects: spanning cabaret, dance, immersive, musical and gig theatre.
I love to make theatre that is bold, playful, camp, and curious spanning across disciplines. At the core, I want to make work that prioritises collaboration between artists and embraces interdisciplinary practice. I am excited by work that imaginatively and authentically responds to the human experience, telling stories of identity, power, intimacy and grief. I am always returning to themes that explore womanhood, sexuality, intimacy and power and how our bodies enact as political and physical landscapes to explore these concepts.
Above all, I am passionate about creating safer and more empowering creative environments and believe creating supportive freelance networks is the key to maintaining top talent, prioritizing gender and racial diversity. I co-founded my theatre company So La Flair in 2021 which champions early career female and non-binary artists by providing performance and networking opportunities. Over the last year, I have produced a series of alternative queer cabaret, immersive club nigths, and toured our most recent production in Manchester and London venues, as well as a run at Underbelly for the Edinburgh Fringe.
I have over two years of community and applied theatre producing, working with arts charities across Manchester to deliver specialist projects to support and empower a diverse range of adults and young people. Working with charities such as Tandem Theatre, Odd Arts and Theatre in Prison and Probation, I have developed a confident skillset in successfully delivering projects that balance the needs of funders, community organisations as well as those participating in the program.
I am also a freelance Creative Producer, currently producing for Night People, a Manchester based theatre dance company, combining contemporary dance, cabaret theatre and immersive digital technologies, enabling audiences to engage with the exciting world of cross collaborative art and come together in social celebration and experiential intimacy.
