Sandra Thompson-Quartey

Sandra is the founder and Artistic Director of High-Rise Avenue. Between 2010-2017 she produced over 20 showcases at Soho Theatre and The Pleasance, shining a light on talented artist and creatives in the UK and drawing in attendance from leading Casting Directors, talent agencies, broadcasters and production companies. Her short plays have been performed at Soho Theatre and Lost Theatre.

Sandra is also the part-time Associate Producer & Training Manager for Artistic Directors of the Future (ADF), dedicated to improving the representation of culturally diverse leaders within theatre and the creative industries. Sandra designs and leads new training programmes, workshops and events and manages existing projects that support organisations and creatives. In 2019 Sandra developed a workshop to help artists and creatives start a theatre company and project managed an Award-Winning Board Shadowing Programme. In 2020 she led the launch of a new e-learning platform, ADF Bite-Size, raised emergency Arts Council England funding and ran a Leadership Think Tank.

From 2015-2020 Sandra ran The Artist & Creative Avenue (ACA) a talent agency with a focus on representing culturally diverse and international actors and writers across the globe. She facilitated job opportunities within theatre, television, film and commercials, including National Theatre, Donmar Warehouse, Soho Theatre, Old Vic, Warner Brothers, BBC, Sony and Netflix.
