Deadline:
Open Session: Role of the Dramaturg in the Devising Process
Tuesday 8 December
7.00pm – 9.00pm
This practical online workshop examines the director-dramaturg relationship in the devising process. It combines networking and working in small groups for its double purpose: 1) get directors and dramaturgs to connect and 2) explore each of their roles in devising. The end goal is to spark connection, collaboration, and conversation around the role of dramaturgs beyond new writing and literary management. The workshop is designed for a group of directors and dramaturgs who will work in pairs on a devised adaptation of a well-known story using a specific lens. Participants will go through the process of preparation, devising with actors, and script compilation. This workshop will be facilitated by members of Punkt Collective, Aida Rocci and Antonia Georgieva. For more information, head to www.punktcollective.com. We recognize that a lot of people do multiple creative roles, but for the purposes of this workshop please select which role you would specifically like to explore when signing up. Please note that there is limited capacity of 20 participants for this workshop to facilitate pairings of directors and dramaturgs. Please sign up by Friday 4 December. A waiting list will be in place for anyone wishing to attend.
Please confirm you wish to attend this session by clicking the sign-up button above.
