Kerry Tuhill

Director Producer Drama Facilitator Co-Creator Creative Writer and Deviser

I have worked in community/participatory arts for many years and directing has always been a part of the work. I have collaborated with actors to create short pieces of performance for education and community projects; I have also devised and directed plays with groups of all ages/abilities and in many settings. Youth theatre work has led to my involvement in National Theatre Connections since 2015, which is when I worked with a given text again and started to think about directing as a distinct role rather than just one in a series of jobs that I do. My interest is now in experimenting with text, live and recorded work in different forms and ways of involving an audience and creating connections, especially in the current situation.
Preferred pronoun: she/her.
