Khadifa Wong

Director

She/Her
Born in London, Khadifa originally trained in Dance before moving into film and theatre. Most recently she was named the 2021 Alice Guy Blaché Emerging Female Filmmaker from the Oxford Film Festival. Khadifa's feature length film debut - Uprooted - The Journey of Jazz Dance has won several awards on the film festival circuit and premiered on HBO Max in Feb 2022. After years of being often the only black dresser on a show in the West End, Khadifa hopes her work as a director will help her increase diversity behind the scenes.
Her mantra that she was given by several of her mentors is "No story about us, without us".
