Theatre Director Dramaturg Writer Practitioner Casting directorShe. I have been a theatre director and writer for 12 years. before that I was an actor. I trained at DSL. I have also been a teacher for many years.
I prefer to be thought of as a creator of theatre rather than a director. I enjoy a collaborative approach believing that actors produce their best work when allowed to be fully creative. I particularly enjoy the challenge of unusual spaces and like to challenge and surprise the audience. Music and striking visuals are inspirational.I also enjoy developing new writing and indeed writing myself. I particularly excel at adapting various media ( novels, films, biographies, music) into theatre for the stage.
