William Spencer

Choregrapher Director Movement Director

If I had to describe myself in three words, they would be Narrative, Theatrical and Authentic. These are integral to everything I do as a person and creative. Having worked in a variety of theatrical contexts such as Musical Theatre, Theatre Dance/Ballet and Plays, I work closely with my performers and focus heavily on telling a story and a true collaboration where every voice is valid. I have worked extensively in LGBTQIA+ theatre and champion inclusivity and accessibility in every aspect of my work. My desire is to increase visibility of neurodiverse and autistic artists such as myself. I wish to unite audiences through relatable content and realise the theatre as a universally moving and enjoyable experience for everyone. I aim to use non-verbal communication and movement as an increasingly accessible art form and to revive its historic position at the forefront of storytelling following in the footsteps of Robbins, De Mille and McOnie.
