Sara Al Ghanem

Director Writer Actor Producer

Sara (she/her) is an Italian-Palestinian director, writer, actor and producer. She graduated from Goldsmiths University of London with a BA in Drama and Theatre Arts; but she first began her training in Rome, where she attended the Fonderia Delle Arti theatre school.

For over a decade, Sara has been involved in staging and producing a variety of shows - including two performing arts festivals across the UK and the USA, two UK tours and one-week long residency at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Some of Sara’s other credits include creative internships at London Artists Project (LAP), BBC News and Phantom of the Opera, Haymarket.

Sara is primarily a devised theatre practitioner, with a passion for community-driven projects. She has always been interested in collaborating with dual heritage and bilingual artists like herself, as a means to explore questions of cultural identity on stage. For this reason, her mission as an artist is to create work that celebrates diversity and brings silenced voices to the forefront.
