Combining his wealth of experience and passion for all aspects of movement, he has honed his work as a movement director, coach and choreographer with a host of Oscar-winning actors, award-winning directors and brands.
From musical theatre choreography on the Emmy award winning Ted Lasso, with the illustrious comedy director Declan Lowney, to movement coach for House of the Dragon, to intricate creature movement with the iconic Alex Reynolds on The Mummy and Aquaman 2. His creativity is diverse, including historical dance for The Witcher as well as Viking warrior movement for the epic The Northman by Robert Eggers. In addition, he has worked on intimacy movement with renowned intimacy coordinator Ita O’Brien on Lady Chatterley’s Lover and Brave New World. He has also embraced the evolving use of technology and motion capture on His Dark Materials for the BBC as well as House of the Dragon.
His long experience in theatre, TV and film combined with his deep knowledge of various techniques and approaches, allow his process to be one of openness, helping devise movement with actors and directors, that is true to the world it is created for. His years of experience working with Laban Movement Analysis and Animal Studies, are the cornerstones of his work. These, combined with many decades of working with contact improvisation and Meisner, places connection at the centre of his work. His process also draws on a wide range of movement practices and somatic techniques including, Bartenieff, Feldenkreis and Alexander Technique. His own yoga practice has influenced his mindful approach to working with others, always looking to create an honest connection with his fellow collaborators
