Seren Oroszvary

Performance Maker Actor Writer Director

Seren Oroszvary is an Australian/Irish/Hungarian actor, writer and performance maker. Her practice is multimodal and varies dependant on what the space, audience and climate inspires, but her main interests lie in intimate, site specific and interactive ways of experiencing performance.

Seren is curious about modes of centralising the audience, devising ways of personifying object and space, and encouraging our imaginations via sensorial experiences during live performance. She questions how we can manoeuvre today's theatre to rearrange and recombine the perceptions and relationships we have with the spaces we inhabit (nature, body, architecture, virtual realm) that may potentially open us up to healing - personally, socially and ecologically.

Seren grew up in Melbourne, performing since the age of seven, and in 2017 she relocated to Europe to train professionally and live. She has collaborated in Australia, Denmark, Estonia, Sweden and the UK in a variety of film, theatre, performance and voice over projects, alongside developing her own practice.
