I am a London based actress, writer and physical theatre performer from Lithuania. My pronouns are she/her. I graduated from RADA MA Theatre Lab in 2018.
Since graduation I have been working with theatre companies specialising in physical theatre and devised work such as La Fura dels Baus (Spain), Theatre Re, Babel, Little Lion Theatre and Created A Monster on creating their new work.
Last year I joined Flabbergast Theatre as an associate artist to develop and devise a new version of “Macbeth”, which blends physical theatre, Grotowski’s pedagogy and Butoh practice with Shakespeare’s text. My work portfolio can be found here: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/pq6cj1mea0vyqdfmphwyv?r=ABfyhHdnqN2OeMoOJfiYtVzzBm7FiEeHCVomQyiPhT0IGwiBfHt-CaIu8300NiBxbEG7Jm7nXtosNxdLf2h5iAxTDGEjn3I-OAAjRe9vL44R1Sx2bqaEMMREs1q_Z04mErV4H4n63YxaO4J5FhuZYcoV
As a solo artist and writer I create short films and poems that follow the Surrealist concept of dream logic and explore whether a narrative lead by a female protagonist can be understood as a human experience beyond her gender.
My short film ‘2wan’ was a part of the world wide festival “02022020.space” in February 2020 being transmitted live in each time zone at 8:20 pm: https://02022020space.tumblr.com/post/611054553996115968/utc-2-uklt-vyte-garriga-2wanmore-vyte
‘Paper Swans’ is my first full length play that was considered for staging by the Royal Court Theatre for a year. We shared the WIP of the piece, supported by the ACE, in March this year at Camden People’s Theatre, with Flabbergast helping me to produce it and received extremely encouraging feedback.
