Poet/ Writer Philosopher Actor Youtuber/ Audio-Visual Content Creator Events Manager

As an artist first and foremost, my artistic practice is rooted in feminist philosophy. I graduated from the University of Kent with a 2:1 in philosophy. I was awarded a 1st for my dissertation on feminist philosophy entitled, “Making My Revulva: The misunderstanding, misrepresentation and miseducation of the young black woman”. I base my artistic practice on the feminist school of thought I developed with my dissertation. This is called “Revulva”. I am a cross discipline artist that prioritises authentic expression when tackling issues concerning equality. Most importantly, I am fascinated by the way in which art can be used to elicit emotion within a community. My pronouns are she and her.

Training

Art Trainee, Bold Tendencies (2021)
My role as an Art Trainee is to learn about the inner workings of a visual arts organisation and learn about my own artistic identity as a trainee of art. Bold Tendencies has provided great exposure to the art world. It has also provided a platform for me to develop my school of feminist throught alongside my artistry with assignments that have been set to encourage us to develop our interests. Bold Tendencies has also encouraged me to feel at home in the art world, which is an invaluable experience. I have been very much nurtured and grown as a result of my art traineeship at Bold Tendencies.

Circl Future Leader Alumnae and Coach (2021)
I was awarded with a certificate by the Association for Coaching on completion of the Circl Leader Coach Programme.

Events Planner, Sexual Harassment Bystander Intervention Workshop with Hollaback, University of Kent (February 9th 2019)
I researched the Hollaback charity and found out they offered bystander intervention workshops. I found funding within my university as a part of sexual violence awareness week. I got in contact with the charity and confirmed a date. Empowerment for women is one of my passions and I intend to put on many other events like this.
