Hannah Gintberg-Dees

Theatre Director Cinematographer Writer Performer Interdisciplinary

I’m an interdisciplinary theater-maker from Denmark. My preferred pronouns are she/her. I have worked in theater, film (fictional and documentary) and visual art. I have previously worked in more traditional theater formats but in the recent years I have become interested in more experimental, immersive and participatory forms of theater. I want to use theater’s unique affordance of liveness and direct audience connection to its fullest potential. However, I do believe the form of the work should fit the story you are trying to tell. I therefore still like to work within more traditional forms if that is what serves the story. I am interested in exploring intimacy, participation and the multi-sensory in the theatrical setting as well as incorporating my multi-disciplinary background to reflect the hybridity of our time.
