am a Syrian British playwright and overseas qualified architect.
I was born and raised in Damascus and I live in London since 2012.

I have 20 years of work experience in architecture and have been extensively reading and writing in the past couple of years to shift my career into the literary world.

My play Home, Pizza/Visa & A Pledge To The Queen was produced by teatreblau and performed in Germany in November and December 2023.
It was shortlisted in the Royal Shakespeare Company's 37 Plays competitions in 2023.

My essay The Damascus Journals was published in The Millions in 2017 https://themillions.com/2017/11/the-damascus-journals.html.
I read some of my work in live events sometimes accompanied by the Berliner Symphoniker in and around Berlin and in London.

I am a founding member of teatreBlau, an international network of professional artists https://www.teatreblau.eu/.
