Roisin Cowen

Interdiciplinary Theatre Artist Director Facilitator Musician Performer

My pronouns are She/Her and They/Them.

I am a hard working early career creative. Through my MA in Advanced Theatre Practice at Central I have developed my personal practice and I hope to bring my collaborative skills, eye for design and awareness of arts criticism to any future venture, be this in the arts or otherwise. I am friendly and willing to lend a hand at any role.

I am also queer and neurodivergent (I have ADHD) and I believe this makes me an outside the box thinker and doer as well as someone who is committed to equality and access in the creative industries.

I'm especially interested in embodied expression and music within a theatre setting (not necessarily musical theatre!). My main areas of interest are neurodivergence, race, class, gender, ecology and queerness.

My approach to making, facilitating and just plain being, is compassion first. Any situation can be improved by open and honest compassionate communication!
