Director Award winning new Writer Actor Casting Director Producer

She/Her

I am an award-winning new writer. An experienced actor, compère/host, creative/artistic director and producer. I have recently stepped into the world of casting director for heart casting. I have been working in the creative industry for over 22 years, and throughout this time I have managed to develop professional relationships collaborating with creatives in theatre and screen. I am currently in a writers room for a brand new TV pilot Lucid The Dreamwalker.

My journey started as a professional actress. Whilst being a jobbing actor I founded a community organisation Kuumba Arts Movement and youth theatre ACTS for children aged 5-18yrs.

The last 5 years have presented some amazing opportunities working with some fantastic creatives within the industry. As a freelancer i have been commissioned to write, direct and I am currently the audience development consultant for the Grand Theatre Wolverhampton supporting them with their mission to make the theatre available for all audiences.

I have multiple skills which can be transferred throughout the industry. I don’t believe I have to stay in one lane I enjoy being a creative.

My Awards and recognitions
2022: Nominated for Black British Theatre Recognition Award for Casting
2020: Winner of the Scale Up Business award for developing my media production business.
2018: Winner of both the audience and judges awards for the script writing competition Enter.Stage.Write for my short play “Truth”
2016: Winner of inspirational woman award for my community activist work, supporting young marginalised people into the creative industries.
2017: I became a published author with my book 39 steps to 40, and also co authored “Confidence Confidential” and “The Triumph of Motherhood” all available on amazon.

I am currently looking for a permanent position to work with a producing theatre who specialises in new writing to work as an associate director, producer or in the casting department.
