Movement Director Choreographer Movement Teacher and Coach Physical theatre Theatre Maker

I am a Birmingham based Movement Director and Choreographer, very interested in live work in theatre, immersive and outdoor performance. My practice is inclusive and consent based, using intimacy guidelines to create a safe and productive room for all. I love creating a movement language for the world of the production, that really textures the bodies and allows us to take the audience on that journey. Creating from the communities and embodied experiences of the people the story is about and for, is something I am very passionate about and will always endeavor to weave into the production. My practice is collaborative with cast and creative to ensure the best performance all round whilst achieving the artistic vision. I have worked from very small productions of one person shows to the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games with a cast of 2,000 people. Even with the large scale productions I will always give time and make sure that the information and work is accessible to the cast. My experience with neurodivergent and disabled artists is wide, but something I am always aiming to improve and build on through open communication and collaboration.
