Lola Barak

Theatre Director

Lola Barak is a director based in London focussed on classical retellings with an emphasis on under-represented narratives, specifically in Shakespeare. She is interested in pieces that comment on young people’s identity in a rapidly changing technological world and seeing how traditional literature can still speak to that shared experience. She is also very interested stories concerning the modern Jewish community. Trained in the UK, America, and Continental Europe, she is currently writing a short film in collaboration with Accidental Donkey Productions.
