Francesca Murray-Fuentes

Theatre Director Theatre-maker Dramaturg

Francesca is a British-Chilean director and theatre-maker.

She is motivated by capturing collective joy, elevating the lived experiences of mixed-heritage people, and demystifying macro structures by exploring it through the lens of the micro.
Much of her work plays with magic-realism, live music and scale. All her work is political and purposeful.

Francesca's play 'The Runner' was long-listed for the Amnesty International Freedom of Expression Award in 2017. In 2021 she was recognised in The Stage 100 for her contribution to creating and delivering peer-to-peer mentorship programme, Exchange Project.
