Producer Directing Challenging Stereotypes Factual information in a entertaining way support for all people, LGBTQ+, challenged/disabledSubject to funding, we would like to producer one of three plays by scriptwriter Alex Jones who has had plays commission in the USA, ‘Canned Peaches Syrup’ performed in the American and Italy but never in English Version, though there is perhaps a glimmer of hope, with this version being produced at market Theatre in Johannesburg, South Africa. ‘English Fucking State’ made the long0list and short0list for Papatango and Brentwood prize but not as yet been produced. ’The Paragon of Animals’ recently made the long-list for the 2022 Brentwood Prize. Alex has received commissioning in past including East15 performed at RADA, ‘Girl in the Box’.
Not only is Alex a good writer, he is also a respected actor, a company member with RSC 2020/21 at Stratford and the Barbican, then COVID unfortunately stopped that (!) as well as playing all 5 roles in ‘Cathy’ at Soho Theatre, Edinburgh festival and tour.
