Michael Selditch

Director

A two-time Emmy nominated director/producer, I recently completed a four-part documentary series for CNN called, "American Style." I was the executive producer and director all 50 episodes of Lifetime’s drama series, "I Love You, But I Lied," where actors improvised from story treatments. Other US TV producing/directing credits include many non-scripted series such as, "Catfish," "Nine by Design," "Architecture School" (International Documentary Award, Best Limited Series) and "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy." Feature films as director/producer: "Fixing Frank" (Independent Spirit Award nomination) and "Eleven Minutes." I'm in development on my third feature film, "In Burton’s Shadow," starring Alan Cumming and Patrick Gibson. My script, based on true events, is about the promising young actor who lands the coveted role of the disturbed teen opposite Richard Burton in the original 1975 Broadway stage production of "Equus."

Credits

Much of my work has been in television and film, but I am passionate about theater and would love to expand mediums... On stage I have directed readings of "1980 (Or Why I Voted for John Anderson)" and my own play, "Reality" at TACT New Play Festival in NYC. I've also directed productions of several one-act plays I wrote including, "Express Train," which won Best Play in the Strawberry One-Act Play Festival in NYC 2016. I am US based (Los Angeles and New York) but I spend time in London every August. www.selditch.com
