Lisa Lapidge

I am a vocal coach, actor trainer, and theatre-maker/deviser

I originally trained as an actor at Manchester Met, before going on to work predominately in immersive and site-specific theatre. I then re-trained as a vocal coach on the MA Voice Studies course at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and am currently a Senior Lecturer training actor-makers on the BA Acting for Contemporary & Devised Performance course at the University of Northampton.

I have extensive skills in performing, vocal coaching, workshop leadership, theatre-making, devising, singing & directing ensembles towards devised or text based performances.

I also have experience of application writing, symposium workshop leadership, conference presentations and academic writing.

I am interested in work that engages me as:
* a vocal coach that focuses on actor's voices as embodied, dynamic, and emotionally connected
* a deviser/maker/director focused on ensemble creation of bold, relevant, affecting performances,
*a teacher that places the student experience at the heart of what I do - teaching embodied and extended voice, mediated voice, contemporary performance, immersive and site-specific performance, writing for applications
*a performer in work that is vital, dynamic, political, funny, irreverent, poetic, silly, serious...

I coached individuals and theatre companies in bespoke ways creating workshops to suit their needs

I am neurodiverse (dyslexic)
