Inge-Vera Lipsius

Theatre Director Writer Actor Producer

I am a theatre director and writer (b. 1996, she/her) from a Dutch-American background, now based in London. After graduating from the University of Cambridge (BA and Master in literature), where I worked on over thirty productions as actor/director/assistant director, I studied theatre and performance at Ecole Philippe Gaulier and Ecole Jacques Lecoq in France.

I directed two productions abroad in Amsterdam—both of which were sold out and very well received. My most recent production (which I wrote and directed) was the first play about the doping scandal surrounding Kamila Valieva at the 2022 Winter Olympics, and I recently translated it into English to have it performed in London. I have also completed assistant directing internships with Ivo van Hove and Barrie Kosky.
