Zoë Carvalho Morris

Theatre director Theatre maker

I am an Anglo-Brazilian theatre director and facilitator based in London.

Most recently I directed Crash and Burn by William Leckie at the Edinburgh Fringe 2023 (shortlisted for two Scottish Theatre Awards) and have been a member of the Almeida Young Producers (2023-2024) and Old Vic Theatre Makers Company (2022-2023)

Between 2022-2023 I adapted and directed Euripides’ Electra at the Bloomsbury Theatre and was later awarded a bursary to work with director Marco Martinelli (Teatro delle Albe) and Professor Giovanna Di Martino at the University of Parma, on ‘Performing Aristophanes’.

I work part time in schools and with universities and am really passionate about participatory projects, particularly working with young people!
