Fiona Winning

Hi! I'm Fiona (She/Her) and I am an early career director, currently studying for an MA in Theatre Directing at Mountview. Prior to becoming a director, I trained classically in dance and singing, reaching finals in both the All England Dance Finals and the Young Musician of the Year competitions. This has informed my practice as a director, bringing my knowledge of performance to my approach to working with actors. I am intrigued by how music can act as a catalyst of both dramaturgy and storytelling in both traditional plays and musicals. I am also particularly interested in new writing having worked on a number of newly written projects - most recently, writing and directing a new dark comedy for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, receiving a 5* review from Theatre Scotland. This project was launched by BossyB*tchProductions, an emerging female and non-binary led production company, of which I am one of the Co-Founders & Artistic Directors.
