Emily C. A. Snyder (she/they/all) is a theatre director, playwright, actor and educator from New York City. They are currently pursuing their PhD at the Shakespeare Institute in Stratford-upon-Avon. Previously, they were the Founder and Executive Director of TURN TO FLESH PRODUCTIONS, a NYC theatre company which developed new plays in heightened text with vibrant roles for everybody historically excluded from classical western art. (Or, 'new Shakespeare plays' for everybody that Shakespeare *didn't* write for!) They are the author of over a dozen full-length contemporary verse plays, as well as over 50 non-verse plays. Their work has been seen from Dublin, Ireland to Christchurch, New Zealand, as well as touring North America. More information can be found at www.emilycasnyder.info
