Aisling Gallagher

Director London

I am at the beginning of my career and also work as a caseworker and a councillor in my local authority. I am particularly interested in rediscovering queer playwrights, political work, and embedding access through the aesthetics and design of a production.

At the minute I am working on a project with the estate of Colm Clifford (Colm Ó Clubhán) to bring his work to a new generation. Other projects in R&D include Mobility (by Rachel Main, longlisted for Bruntwood 2019) and JOY 2020/21 (Hammersmith & Fulham Arts Festival, produced by Turtle Key).

I am particularly keen to work with other queer and disabled artists and would love to speak to other theatre-makers who feel similarly.
