Aimee Sweet

Theatre Director Performer Writer

Aimée Sweet is a director and writer based in South London. She specialises in directing new writing, musicals, and devised material. At the moment, she is particularly interested in music in theatre, and new writing that centres storytelling and social change. Theatre that feels soulful and messy.

Aimée is currently developing her first full length musical, The Hideout, alongside composer Jeorgie Brett. Most recently, she has assistant directed Haley Mcgee’s Prepare to Fail at Soho Theatre, London. She is also finishing up a Masters degree in Performance: Design and Practice at Central Saint Martins.

Aimée is connected to theatre makers across London and the South West, particularly Bristol and Exeter.
