Lydia Parker

Theatre director Dramaturg Playwright Actor Producer

She/Her. I am originally from New York but have lived in London for over twenty years. I trained as an actor at Stella Adler Conservatory/NYU Tisch School of the Arts and Drama Studio, London. I am a freelance director and Artistic Director of Over Here Theatre Company which produces primarily new American plays. I am interested in new writing that is surprising, insightful and relevant. Having written comedy sketch shows for many years, both live and for BBC Radio 4, I also enjoy comedy, both dark and light. I have volunteered for eight years for Scene and Heard, the children’s theatre charity, directing professional actors in short plays written by children.
