Tom Shortland (he/him) is a director and producer from East Yorkshire. He is a reader for the Bush Theatre, has written for Broadway Baby, and has led a number of theatre-related workshops and classes.
He is interested in bringing great plays to life, classics and new writing, in a way that is easy to connect with and difficult to untangle.
His ambitious production of Amadeus in 2022 was described as "a gem in the crown of Cambridge Theatre" (The Tab) and his adaptation of Peer Gynt at the Fringe "embodies the very essence of the original Edinburgh spirit" (Plays International).
