Andrea Holland

I'm a London-based Spanglish working class performer, theatre-maker and facilitator. Graduating from the Asturias School of Performing Arts (Spain) with a BA Hons in Acting, I also trained at ESAP Porto (Portugal) through an ERASMUS+ scholarship. During lockdown, I co-created an International short film on Menstruation: "Mulheres Que Sangran, Powered by Menstruation," recognised by festivals like the Thessaloniki Free Short Festival where it was nominated for Best Female Film by a Female Director. As a founding member of Volpe Theatre, we premiered "Hyena" in Italy and at VAULT Festival 2023 to sold-out audiences. I am also the co-founder of Herlight Theatre. We performed our debut show "Queendom", a modern fairytale that challenges stereotypes, at Camden Fringe Festival. My work, rooted in devised comedy with a feminist lens, explores themes of belonging and identity, aiming to provoke thought and laughter simultaneously, fostering connection through humour.
