Playwright Producer Choreographer Stage setting DirectorAn example of my work is the "I remember when" project.
As the creative director/producer, I facilitated the narration of Windrush, told by the last generation of Windrush Elders.
This was sponsored by "Strike ALight" Gloucester (a non profit community organisation.
Through the medium of spoken word, film, and live music and live story telling the personal Windrush stories were heard and felt by the audience. An informal education was facilitated with indigenous Jamaican food and drink.
My Job was to set the brief, co edit the film content, co stage manage the artists, liaise with lighting and sound engineers, select the venue, stage set the production.
I also edited and provided content for the "I remember when"magazine given at the end of the production to the attendees.
