Michael Duke

Theatre Maker Writer DJ Facilitator Director

I am a South London based artist. The work that I create and hope to create as a theatre maker is centred around communion and subversion of spectatorship through the use of music/audio, audience participation, dance and ritual.

I'm interested in ideas that surround liminality as a gateway for audiences or participants to let go of their expectations of theatre and performance in order to establish collective creativity.

I'm seeking to gain experience in directing for theatre as well as work in the participatory arts sector. I'm currently on a creative arts facilitator training programme run by Talawa Company Theatre, Goldmiths and EEA.
