Carys Hopkins

Theatre Director Actor Writer

My name is Carys (she/her), and I’m a recently graduated BA Drama student, having received my First Class degree at the University of Manchester in July 2024, as well as being the recipient of the Meera Syal Award for Outstanding Practical Work, for my projects in theatre directing and short film creation. As a writer, I’m interested in all forms, stage and screen. As a director I’m drawn to abstract scripts that utilise comedy and an in depth devising process, although I enjoy more traditional forms as well. I am interested in theatre for young people, although not exclusively. As an ADHD artist I’m also particularly interest in opportunities to explore neurodivergence on stage and screen.
