Georgia Murphy

Director Theatre Maker Writer Facilitator Clown

Georgia is currently the Associate Director at The Octagon Theatre. She is a director, writer and theatre maker specialising in comedy, new writing, family shows and devised work. She trained at Ecole Phillippe Gaulier and founded her award-winning company Mouths of Lions in 2013, which specialises in combining clown with theatre. She has collaborated with artists such as Marcello Magni (Complicite), Cal MaCrystal (The Mighty Boosh), Wardrobe Ensemble and Spymonkey. Her work has toured the UK and internationally and she has staged work at The Bush, Roundhouse, BAC, Camden People’s Theatre, Ovalhouse, Southwark Playhouse and numerous UK festivals.
