Meghan Cosgrove

Director

Hi, I’m Meghan, I’ve recently graduated from NUI Galway with a Master’s in Theatre Practice and Production. My thesis was about composition in post-dramatic theatre. I took structural elements used in paintings to play with the mechanics of devising while in the rehearsal room, looking for new patterns and thinking of traditional dramatic composition mixed with design, shape, line, and other elements of paintings to structure the process of creating a performance.
So, I’m a big fan of devising, non-verbal communication, physical theatre, experimental theatre and anything avant-garde. I also write, although finding a balance between experimental and devised theatre with the traditional writing structures of dramatic writing is something I want to work on and develop in my own work.
