Gabriella Bird

Director

I'm a director and choreographer interested in a wide variety of styles and genres. I combine detailed text work with theatricality and utilize my experience as a choreographer and movement director to explore the physical worlds. I'm especially interested in Shakespeare and Early Modern plays, as well as musicals/plays with music and new writing. My work tends to be heavily influenced by music and movement/dance is a key element of my work.
I'm keen to explore more expressionist designs, and explicit theatricality in my work.
Love to collaborate and meet new people. Especially interested in working class and female voices. Artistic Director of Plain Heroines.
