An award winning artistic director and accomplished producer, project leader, teacher, theatrical sound designer and circus rigger.
For the last twenty years, Circus has led Tim around the world and back again. As well as countless performances, he trained at London’s National Centre for Circus Arts, and Kiev State College for Circus and Variety arts.
With the Roundhouse he created Acrostudio and the Roundhouse Circus Company who went on to become Square Peg Contemporary Circus; Roundhouse and Jacksons Lane associate artists. He then founded Cirquit Productions Ltd. to produce Square Peg's award winning "Rime", which was co-commissioned by the National Theatre, and its second tour in 2014 was at the time, the most extensive contemporary circus tour ever done by a UK company.
He worked with Formosa Circus Art in Taiwan, directing "I Have My Demons Have Me". One of the Tainan Art Festival's "2017 International Classics" and their flagship commission. The show was redeveloped for the Taichung National Theatre in 2018.
Other projects include the award winning "What Kind of Man Are You" with the National Taiwan College of Performing Arts; a multimedia acrobatic adaptation of Gogol’s Diary of a Madman; research on circus in narrative context with Rufus Norris, and a collaboration with Goldsmiths, University of London, exploring improvised acrobatic dance in multimedia immersive environments.
He was one of Battersea Arts Centre’s ‘Independents’ working with People Create and the Cultural Leadership Programme to understand the principle that artists can be leaders through their practice, and is always looking for interesting collaborations as well as venue and production partners with whom to develop new work combining Circus with Dance, Theatre and Technology to create beautiful, innovative storytelling.
