She/Her
My work as a director focuses on new writing and bringing to the stage marginalised voices, especially women. In 2018, I directed I Have A Mouth and I Will Scream by Abi Zakarian which won the People’s Choice Award at VAULT Festival. I trained on the Birkbeck Theatre Directing MFA and was the Runner Up of the JMK Award 2020.
I am interested in food, fat acceptance, mythology, magic, and the surprising and unexpected. I have a background in dicking about with the text of Shakespeare plays to create new works. I love the Muppets, Caryl Churchill, comic books, Sarah Kane, and weird early noughties sitcoms.
I am an occasional contributor to The Stage and Exeunt Magazine; other writing credits include Epifania, an interactive audio play as part of Hotel Europe (Green Rooms).
