“Williams’ carefully woven plot & characters are perfectly matched to Deirdre Daly’s tight direction” The Stage

''The play rattles along at a pace resembling a Japanese bullet train.... as taut as a bowstring, nicely building to a crescendo" Close Up Culture

Deirdre is an experienced Theatre Director with an interest in work which places women's narratives centre stage. She has a background in directing both large scale, site specific shows, and loves small, intimate venues.

Deirdre recently directed the dark comedy, 'Boot', with Pig Wig Productions at The Lion & Unicorn, she also worked as director on ‘The Tide Mills Project’ - an ambitious large scale site-specific show on the beach at Newhaven, East Sussex.

During Lockdown Deirdre was busy writing her own play and she directed ‘Stuck Like Me’ which was performed online at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2021.

Deirdre was Associate Director on a 3 month UK tour of 'Antigone' and was AD with Dante Or Die on a UK tour of the site specific show, ‘Take On Me’.

Deirdre is currently directing and co-producing 'The Pinot Princess' at Omnibus Theatre and she is producing Laura Lomas' play, 'Chaos' at Brighton Fringe Festival.
