Matt Hassall

I'm Matt (he/him) - a theatre maker & biscuit dunker, originally from Crewe and now living in London.

I've worked as an Assistant and Associate Director on an eclectic mix of shows as well as making professional work of my own. All of my shows have experimented with form and style to create work with a social conscience that places theatricality and storytelling at its heart.

I'm also really interested in collaborative processes and shaking up how things are down in terms of traditional rehearsal structures/making processes.

I’m a big believer that a little imagination goes a long long way.

Another strand to my practice is in training and participation settings, supporting students and participants to develop a broad range of skills including performance, directing and creative practice.
