Fran Olivares

Director

I'm a passionate and motivated female director with international experience.
My academic background includes a BA in Acting and an MFA in Theatre Directing. I also hold further experience through a fellowship with the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts – GITIS in Moscow as well as researching Balinese Theatre (dance and performance) in Bali.
To this I must add a vast experience in performing, directing and assisting directing theatre.
Since I moved to London, I have been involved in different projects, consistently trying to learn from this industry (as well as networking).
With my work, I’m constantly trying to capture a sensual and surreal perspective of the world with a visceral input, highlighting what it is different, in order to find a place where the outcasts have a voice.
I like to focus my attention on female experiences and perceptions. And I have a particular interest in experimental theatre, classics and new radical ideas.
