Jack Reid

Director

Jack Reid is a director, writer and practitioner based in Inverness, Scotland. Concluding his formal training at the University of the Highlands & Islands with a First Class BA Honours in Drama & Performance, Jack is now an emerging creator of professional work.

Seeking to balance rich and communicative aesthetic styles with productions that tell diverse and important stories, the goal is to create art fit for a new wave of Scottish theatre. Linked closely to the history and culture of the Highlands, Jack is always interested in work that holds authentic value and likes to be involved with stories that reach back to events, people and places that can help world today. Jack defines himself as a documentary theatre-maker.

Above all else, Jack values theatre as a forum for the sharing of life’s experiences, a place of learning and growth for both creators and their audiences.
