Jasmine Rickets

I am a movement director and have worked with actors, singers, dancers, non-dancers, and young people.
In recent years, I have mostly worked in opera and enjoy helping singers engage with their bodies and communicate their best dynamic performance. My work spans big ballroom scenes to subtle characteristics, and from punchy choreographed numbers to ensemble choral gestures... and everything in-between!
My practice often uses psycho-physical techniques to engage the 'whole body' as a tool for expression. I am still learning and growing and am really interested in branching more into theatre and collaborating with other creatives in making work that is physical in nature and powerful in statement.
I am an endo-warrior and a huge advocate for creatives with chronic illnesses, as well as mental illnesses. I fight it everyday and want to prove that a creative, active career is possible despite the setbacks health often brings.
