Gareth Mattey

I'm a director and writer interested in primarily in opera and music-theatre, and bringing queer characters, narratives and interpretations to this form. I'm also interested in a multi-media approach to live performance, 20th century drama (especially the Theatre of the Absurd and Samuel Beckett), new writing and new performance. I'm currently writing my first feature film, creating a short opera for Virtual Reality and developing several new operatic and musical theatre projects. My pronouns are they/them.
