lanaire aderemi is a poet, director, playwright and performer interesed in pulling stories from the margin to the centre especially black feminist histories, memory and nigerian history.

her play' an evening with verse writer' (tristan Bates,2018)(shoot festival,2018),(warwick arts centre,2019) which she wrote and directed won the 2019 shoot festival artist development award and was commissioned by warwick arts centre in october were it was receieved by 300 people. she was previously resident artist at the birmingham rep theatre.

her directing work ranges from directing a play for school students for the african women playwright networks in collaboration with africa writes to site-specific work at the tate modern.
