Chantell Walker

Director

She/Her

Born in Sheffield, I started to pursue a career in theatre directing since graduating from University in 2013. Shortly I became a Young Everyman and Playhouse Director in Liverpool. I spent the next three years taking part in various workshops, observing rehearsals and collaborating with young writers and producers. I directed full length productions as part of the course which ran in the Everyman studio. In 2017 at the end of my time as a young director, I was given an Everyman bursary to act as assistant director on The Sum a new play by Lizzie Nunnery in the returning season of the Liverpool Everyman Repertory Company, under the guidance of Artistic Director, Gemma Bodinetz.

Since completing the course I have been working as a freelance theatre director in the North West, directing and assistant directing various productions. I have worked mostly on new writing and I have developed a strong interest and passion for new and important stories.
