Matthew Iliffe

Director

I’m an award-winning theatre director working on plays and musicals.

My production of Sophie Swithinbank’s Bacon premiered at the Finborough Theatre to critical acclaim and won three Off-West End Awards including Best Director. The production has since played successful seasons at Riverside Studios, Summerhall for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and is touring to Bristol Old Vic in November. Bacon will tour nationally and internationally in 2024.

This Autumn, I have been invited to take part in the National Theatre’s Directors’ Course and in the Spring I will return to the Finborough Theatre to direct the world premiere of a new play.
