My idea as a Director was to create emotion and suspending disbelief within an audience is my objective and the dramaturg I admire most is Artaud, within the Theatre of Cruelty. The reason being that I believe that today's audiences need to reconnect, and to be part of action is vital not only for connecting but catharsis denied by today's society. I concentrate on stage lighting to create audience mood, compositions, movements, intensity, and colours utilising Beam Angles, Backlighting, Boom, Gobo, Reflector and Lighting Emitting Diode (LED). For sound, I use a create sound-scapes to build tension and change mood. In rehearsal I give the actors a piece of music to listen to while performing their scenes with metronomic rhythm and sometimes use voices to create repetition, whispering, echoes or ghostly sounds. Senses are vitally important. I admire Joan Littlewood's workshops for character preparation. The costumes, I mainly focus on an Anachronistic Fantasy mix between history and modern periods.
